The Impact Of Local Rights Programme In Akwa Ibom State
Wednesday 27-Oct-2021

It is with very mixed feelings that I write to inform you that ActionAid Nigeria has officially concluded her local rights programme in AkwaIbom State after 14 tremendous years.

Within this period, our programme concentrated on 14 communities across 4 local governments in the state and our focus was on health, education, governance, and women’s right.

Because of people like you, we changed the lives of 10,080 women, 17,280 children and 105 persons with varying degrees of disabilities.

Let me highlight a few of the great achievements ActionAid made because of supporters like you:

Worthy of note is that the school in Ikot Mfon was donated by the children of one of our supporters in memory of their beloved. We would love you to also keep the memory of someone special by sponsoring a project with ActionAid. Please, call 07007070700.

Yes, moving out of AkwaIbom is a bit sad but we are glad ActionAid has secured solid partnerships and relationships with the local developmental organisations, local government and the state government to carry on where we have stopped and replicate the same in other communities.

The great work your donations are doing will no doubt continue, but it will in a new location – Crossriver! Yes! And I look forward to giving you updates on our work there soon.

As we move into newer communities, ActionAid will appreciate your continued support to help us change the lives of more people living in poverty and exclusion.

If you’d like to upgrade or renew your donation, refer a friend or partner with ActionAid Nigeria on CSR, please, call 0700707070 or make your donation via website or via bank transfer to GTB- 0216379681, Account name: ActionAid Nigeria Community Sponsorship
